Do You Offer Discounts & Free Trips?
We do! When booking your whitewater rafting trip with Living Waters Recreation -- be sure to ask about special group and family discounts. Guests returning from the previous year always receive a 5% discount upon verification. If you book your trip prior to March 31, you will also receive a 10% discount. This is just one of the ways we say -- Thank you!
What Should I Wear?
We recommend bathing suits or T-shirt and shorts. Clothing such as heavy cotton sweatshirts or jeans should be avoided -- since they get heavy and restrict movement when wet. Nylon, polyester, or other moisture wicking materials work the best. For your safety and comfort, wetsuits and splash jackets are required in Spring, early summer and late Fall and are always provided FREE of charge.
Do I Need Previous Rafting Experience?
All but two of our trips are perfect for beginners and requires no previous experience.
The California Salmon River & Scott River rafting trips require participants be at least 17 years old. Also your physical ability to swim class IV-V rapids is required. There will be a physical fitness test given before the start of the trip -- sorry no exceptions.

Can I Bring My Dog?
Yes! Your dog is a member of the family -- so bring them along on a river trip. Pets recommended on the Middle Klamath (Tree of Heaven) stretch only.
Is Transportation Provided?
Unfortunately, we do not provide transportation to the river launch site. We do however provide you with detailed directions along with a list of necessary and recommended items to bring.
Do I need to know how to swim?
Many of our rafting guests cannot swim nor is it necessary to know how. We supply you with the finest US Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices (PFD) better know as a life jacket. Ever guest wears a life jacket at all times while on or near the river. Sure you'll get wet and, Yes, you'll love it! Cautious people however usually start with the Middle Klamath, tree of Heaven run and work up the adventure ladder from there.
How strenuous is it…Do I have to paddle?
We offer you oar or paddle options on all the rivers we raft. On our mild runs you have the option of sitting back, relaxing and soaking up the sun and scenery or you can paddle. On other trips your guide teaches you the correct paddle strokes and then you run the river as a team.
When is the best time to come?
In the Spring, snowfall and rain fill the rivers for the wildest, adrenaline-pumping fun you'll ever have. In Summer, warm sunny days and refreshing waves make this the most popular rafting season. In Fall, fall colors and salmon runs ensure a great trip.
Is it Scary? I don't want to fall in!
Actually the chances of you falling out of the raft is slim to none. In the calm sections, many of our guests like to slip over the side of the raft and swim for the pleasure of it. On occasion someone falls in, but with a boatload of companions and your professionally trained guide nearby, it's generally a short swim. Remember, everyone wears a Coast Guard approved life jacket.
Do I need to wear a wetsuit?
For your safety and comfort, wetsuits and splash jackets are required in Spring, early summer and late Fall and are always provided FREE of charge.
